Safe Walking

This week we have had Constable Gordon in to teach us about safe walking. The Safe Walking unit is about how to safely cross a road, how to look out for cars and driveways and seatbelt safety. We have learnt a lot this week in the classroom and then we put it into practice on a real road.
We got to go in Constable Gordon's police car to practice buckling up while in a booster seat. We know we have to wait until we are 148cm or if we are over 7 years old.

Thank you Constable Gordon!

The Heart

This week for our inquiry we have been learning about the heart. We worked in small groups and researched facts about the heart.

Here is a short video of us researching the heart:

Thanks for watching!
Keep an eye out next week for the new organ we will be learning about.

Buddy Reading

On Friday, we had our buddies from Room 6 join us in Room 9. We read to each other and then shared what we has read using Book Creator (a programme which allows us to make a book of our own from scratch). It was a lot of fun having them visit us. We can't wait to see them again!
